Pipitea Marae is a city based marae in Thorndon. It is widely used by community groups and Iwi across the board.
The marae is sometimes used for overnight stays. This can be up to 500 strong.
Our power consumption bills to heat the marae were just getting out of hand and we needed a solution to overcome this.
From our first contact with Smart Air Solutions I was very impressed. They listened to our brief and came up with a few solutions immediately that would solve the problem. Their quote was clear and easy to understand and was very reasonable. It was also provided in record time.
As the Marae is used frequently we thought that the installation of such a major system would be challenging. The installation team worked around the commitments at the marae and made the whole process very easy for us.
The project management of this installation was faultless and the communication was great, we always knew where we were and what to expect next.
These two ducted systems provide us with nearly 60 kW of heating at the flick of a switch. The controller is easy to use and fool proof. Two supply grilles heat the whole space very quickly and effectively and most importantly very cheaply.
My dealings with Smart Air Solutions have to be one of the best with a “trade” for a long time. They are highly professional, deliver on time, on budget and make it all seem so easy.
We are delighted with our new Marae. It is warm and cosy, cheap to run and the feedback from the people using it has been fantastic.

When I bought my first rental property I thought I would save a few dollars and look after my ventilation requirements myself. Armed with a Bunnings fan and ducting which I duly installed myself it transpired they were woefully inadequate, noisy and did not do what I thought they would do.
I contacted Smart Air Solutions and they designed a solution for my rental property which once installed and wired did the job perfectly. Pascal listened to what I wanted the system to do and came up with a design based on my brief.
Now with a small property portfolio, Smart Air Solutions have installed heatpumps and ventilation systems into all of my houses. I cannot recommend Smart Air Solutions highly enough, they are very professional, always in on budget and very respectful when working in tenanted houses.
